Job Description
Orangem Future Technology Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Technical Engineer to support the installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and customer support of Smart Home Automation, Security, Networking, and ELV solutions.
The candidate should be comfortable working at customer and project sites and coordinating with electricians, contractors, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Site Visits
Visit customer and project sites to understand technical requirements and project needs.
Site Survey & Planning
Assist with basic site surveys, technical assessments, and installation planning.
Installation & Configuration
Install and configure smart home automation, security, networking, and ELV systems.
Wiring & Network Setup
Perform cable termination, device mounting, IP configuration, and basic network setup.
Testing & Handover
Test installed devices and ensure proper system functionality before customer handover.
Troubleshooting & Support
Troubleshoot technical issues and attend customer service complaints effectively.
Team Coordination
Coordinate with electricians, contractors, customers, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
Customer Demonstration
Provide basic product demonstrations and explain system functionality clearly to customers.
Documentation
Maintain site updates, service reports, installation records, and project documentation.
Tools & Materials
Handle tools, equipment, and project materials responsibly during installation and service activities.
Sales Team Support
Support the sales team with technical clarification during customer meetings and site visits.
Smart Home Automation Responsibilities
The Technical Engineer will work with various home automation solutions in Madurai, including:
- Smart lighting control
- Scene and mode control
- Curtain automation
- Motion sensor integration
- Smart switches and keypads
- Mobile app control
- Voice control
- Basic KNX and wired automation support
- Integration of different smart devices
Emerging Technologies
The candidate should have an interest in learning emerging smart home automation technologies, device integration, and modern control systems.
The role provides practical exposure to integrated smart technology solutions used in residential and commercial projects.
Security Solutions Responsibilities
CCTV Systems
Installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of CCTV cameras and DVR/NVR systems.
Biometric Systems
Support installation and configuration of biometric and attendance systems.
Access Control
Support access control systems, EM locks, and exit switches.
Video Door Phones
Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot video door phone systems.
Digital Door Locks
Support installation and configuration of digital door lock solutions.
Intercom Systems
Assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of intercom systems.
Alarm Systems
Support installation and testing of alarm systems and security sensors.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
- Basic understanding of networking and IP configuration.
- Knowledge of CCTV and security systems will be an advantage.
- Ability to use basic installation and testing tools.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
- Comfortable working at customer and project sites.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external teams.

Experience Required
Candidates with relevant technical experience in automation, security, networking, electrical, and ELV projects are encouraged to apply.
